Noah Would Have Started Building By Now

Can you believe the weather we’ve been having? (If you’re sitting somewhere sunny reading this, then well done you.)
But for the rest of us here in the UK, the start of 2026 has been unbelievably grim. For many it’s been 40-plus days of rain, pelted out of grey skies with barely a glimpse of the sun.
And that is tough. If you have dogs, I empathise. Of course it’s always great to be out in the wilds, rain, hail or shine. But returning home with a wet, muddy friend is rather less fun. I’m currently bribing Tilda and Stella to tolerate a watering-can wash with pigs’ ears from a local farm.
If Noah were still around he’d have built his bloody ark by now and be filling it with animals two by two. Though these days some trans-maniac would probably claim Noah was transphobic for implying there are only two sexes.
But when the sun does come out, even for a moment, you see people rush to their windows or throw their faces to the sky. And I think there’s an important point in there for all of us.
Life can be hard, life can be dull. Often we feel beaten down or grey. But when there’s even a tiny glimpse of hope, a little bit of positivity, it is so important that we make time for it. When something makes you happy, run toward it — leap to your window and wave about it, or throw your head back and laugh.
Spring will be here soon, my friends. And I’ll be back on the road among you all. We will bring the sunshine — you have my word.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been kind enough to pre-order Katie’s Limited Edition Paperback Set of her first Four Book. Many of you have enquired if it will be possible for Katie to add a personal message as well as signing the presentation sleeve; unfortunately, with preparations for the forthcoming tour taking all her time and energy, this is not going to be possible. Sorry.
