April 2025

Dear Katie’s Arms family

Blink and you’ll miss it! 2025 is speeding along and who would have believed we are already in May!

We are so thrilled to be back out on the road on the Batsh*t Bonkers Britain Tour and getting our family back together. Thank you for all your kind messages after the show to say how much better you feel. It is a magic medicine and it is our wonderful audience who are dispensing it.

“I just wanted to drop a line to say how fabulous last night's show was!! If it's work-in-progress (as you said it was Mark), then you are heading in the right direction and must be just about there! We had a fabulous evening and I haven't laughed so much in ages (despite being someone who has the propensity to giggle quite a lot!).

I thought the venue last night was perfect in every way, loved all the 70s and 80s music (just wanted to get up on the stage and dance!), loved the show, loved loved loved the whole evening. I fell in to bed around midnight after getting back home and had the deepest most restorative sleep I've had for a while...laughter...the best medicine. Thank you Katie for being such a trooper and being so funny...you are an inspiration and I shall, as you urged us to, continue to create chaos and be true to myself and what I believe in.”

Lynn

“Thank you for a great night at Glasgow. Had a fantastic experience. Laughed my head off, clapped my hands off. Warm up was brilliant. Crew were lovely people…Brilliantly funny. All the audience were with you and grateful to be part of them. Thank you so so much.”

VANDALISM OF THE BRITISH COUNTRYSIDE

En route to our Babbacombe Show, Katie saw the eco vandals destroying our green and pleasant lands and demanded I pull over immediately (mid traffic) to go and get amongst it.

Her video has been seen over 5 million times and helps demonstrate the real cost of net zero to our wildlife and why farmers are being pushed from their land.

Katie is relieved so many people got to witness this first hand through her. If you would like to watch her work, it is here on her instagram page.

Katie being Katie, she then went on to perform her Batshit Bonkers Britain show to a lovely full house in Babbacombe (Devon). All in a days work for the weirdo that is my wife.

She is very clear she doesn’t speak for anyone but herself, but she is acutely aware that by speaking out and refusing to be silenced, many others feel their voices are being heard. And she takes this responsibility seriously. Please be reassured she will not stop. And she will never apologise.

“Have fun on the road and please keep up your unbelievably good work. So many of us are deeply heartened by what you do, you’re true beacons of hope in this world.”

Linda

Many of you are good enough to make Katie’s Batsh*t Bonkers Britain news update  on socials your first point of call in the morning. It is going from strength to strength and has large international following, helping bring more people in to our family from overseas. Someone yelled "you’re that Bathsit Bonkers Brit" at Katie in a public restroom in California last week! You are helping spread the word, please keep at it

“I wish you every continued success with your tours, & tune in every day for your pearls of wisdom on Batshit Bonkers Britain & ability to make us laugh at the ridiculous things that are pushed as the new normal.”

Abby

TOUR MERCHANDISE

Finally our new product lines are starting to come in, following a lengthy development process.

The Tour Programme / Handbook documents Katie's highs and lows, packed full of many previously unpublished photographs.
The Tour Programme / Handbook documents Katie's highs and lows, packed full of many previously unpublished photographs.

As landlord of this Establishment I am proud to announce our new lines of merchandise for the Katie’s Arms and Batsh*t Bonkers Britain Tour. I designed many of these items with my own hand, and ensured they are all of the quality our family deserves.

We have great t-shirts (as featured on Katie’s viral wind farm clip), tote bags to carry your Batsh*t Bonkers book in, and beautiful tour handbook sharing behind the scenes photos of Katie and the team and telling Katie’s story through the years.

Grab your copy of the tour handbook here.

For all those of you asking for the Katie's Arms Wine Glass, the wait will soon be over - please bare with us.

TOUR DATES

We hear your request for more tour dates and bigger venues loud and clear, and believe me we share your frustrations. Despite three years of touring success it is still a struggle. If you own a large theatre, or know a theatre manager who will commit to hosting the tour in 2026 please do get their email or phone number to me.

We are working hard to secure larger venues in 2026, and to offer more nights in our regular venues to make sure many more people can attend. We also aim to have dedicated wait lists for every venue.

If you are able to make a special trip, the last few tickets for Batsh*t Bonkers Britain are:

DERRY 17 June

CONVENT GARDEN EXTRA DATE 7 September

SKEGNESS 12 September

We can promise it will be worth your effort!

AUDIO BOOK

A lovely blind member of our family has asked that Katie makes Batsh*t Bonkers Britain into an audio book. Katie knows how it is to have a condition or a disability ….trying to be an epileptic in the army was a challenge! Katie refuses to let anyone down and has committed to make this happen when she is back from tour.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Katie tends to think about her friends in jail when the months pass. Each new month is another month less for them and she will be there to support Alex Bellied, Tommy and the Southport families when they are rightfully returned to their families.

All the Katie’s Arms team know how lucky we are to have your support and enthusiasm. Please do keep in touch. Your emails are being read in person. Our favourite this month was from a lovely supporter who wrote in to tell us he was having his toe amputated the next day. This is the sort of stuff we live for.

As Katie says "All the best of us are weird. It is our duty to create CHAOS to that others can find a place to fit in and feel at home".

And finally, we welcome on board a new member of the team: Nina will be Head of Security when she's not too busy chewing slippers. Nina, a Belgian Malinois, is the latest addition to the lovely Joanna's family and is always assured of a warm welcome at the Katie's Arms.

We will see you on the road.

Thank you

THE LANDLORD

PS. Finally a huge thank you to Mike for creating 'Katie the Riveter' - we love it.

*Advertisement feature.

*As you may well know, we do not normally accept advertising on the Katie's Arms site in order to protect Katie's journalistic integrity. But I made a mistake when finalising the Tour Programme and therefore wanted to make amends to the lovely team at MUMS LOVE CBD.

This is a one off and not something we would be able to repeat. Sorry.
